Meet Halon at HostingCon, New Orleans

Under the scorching sun, where pots of culture, food and music come to life, this is where we will meet! On July 24th until 27th 2016 HostingCon hits New Orleans, Louisiana. Come join us and enjoy the latest updates from us at Halon and our friends and partners in the industry.

HostingCon is an annual event that attracts attendees from all areas of the hosting and cloud industry, from start-ups to global giants. Attendees include key decision makers from hosting providers, cloud providers, managed service providers, hardware/software vendors, value added resellers and ISVs who make the Internet work. Announcing the winner of our competition at 2016

We are happy to congratulate Mr. Alan O’Reilly at Blacknight (based in Ireland) who is the winner of a drone, in our word puzzle competition. Big congrats from your Halon team!

The competition required the contestant to solve a word puzzle displayed on banners during the Cocktail reception hosted by Halon, Atomia and OpenSRS (on March 14th 2016 at The right answer to the word puzzle is Missing U and had to be submitted online during the event to be valid.

Talking Email False Positives & Anti-Spam with Halon at RSAC2016

There is a lot of talk about the effectiveness of spam filters in terms of what percent of spam doesn’t hit an inbox. However on the flip side, there’s a problem with legitimate emails being lost; we often refer to this as the false positive rate. Emails are lost as the result of poor spam filters and the fallout can range from annoying to critical.  In this interview, Anders speaks about how we can overcome false positives and make email good again.
