Halon’s latest release now supports Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration, helping teams analyze operational data, monitor delivery and security issues, and automate routine checks while retaining full control.
Gothenburg, Sweden—October 26, 2026: Halon, the leading provider of composable email infrastructure, has introduced its first Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration as part of its Halon Engage and Halon Protect 26.3 release. The integration lets email operations teams connect AI agents to their Halon environment and investigate delivery and security issues with plain-language queries.
Built on the open MCP standard, Halon’s integration complements the specialized, real-time intelligence already built into Halon Engage, through Delivery Guru, and Halon Protect. While that intelligence acts on messages within the email flow, the MCP integration lets AI agents analyze system and operational data in depth outside it. This helps email ops teams investigate issues more efficiently, detect emerging delivery and abuse patterns earlier, and make more informed decisions, building on the visibility, ability to act proactively, and improved control that Halon’s products provide to enable Dynamic and Secure Email Operations™.
Halon’s MCP integration works natively with commonly used AI agents. Teams can now connect these agents to Halon’s rich and comprehensive APIs. They can then ask questions in plain language and get immediate responses, schedule routine checks across tenants and destinations, monitor delivery and abuse patterns, create tailored reports and dashboards, and much more.
For Halon Engage clients, the MCP integration can, for example, be used to identify why deliveries to a mailbox provider are backing up. Halon Protect clients can, for example, investigate and identify patterns in a suspected spam campaign, establish which messages were blocked, and identify users who may have received them. At this stage, the integration is read-only, allowing agents to investigate and report without changing configurations or acting on queued messages.
“Even as we see AI capabilities expand rapidly, successful email operations depend on human expertise and judgment,” said Anders Långsved, Chief Executive Officer at Halon.
“Our aim is to empower teams to apply their expertise at speed and scale, with AI supporting their work and people remaining firmly in control. It’s about giving teams the visibility and flexibility to act before problems escalate, deeply understand the data available to them, automate repetitive work, and continuously improve how they deliver and secure email. After all, that’s what Dynamic and Secure Email Operations™ is about.”
